In 2000, Sam Rutherford and Beatrice De Smet created a service catering to film/television/rally/expedition support - thus was born Prepare2go.


Sam has personal experience of over 100 countries worldwide and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He is the author of their "Guide to Independent Overland Travel" and is chairman of the Vehicle-based Expeditions Panel.

Beatrice has driven 4x4's throughout the Sahara desert, Western and Southern Africa, but also conceived and led the Jordanian Wadi Rum Horseback Expedition. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a qualified pilot.
