Overview --> T3, 2004, Mauritania, Morocco T3, 2004, Mauritania, Morocco This was Prepare2go's second trail bike expedition to the Sahara. As requested, a little further away and a little more extreme. For this, we provided both Land Rovers, and the local guides refused to follow the route we wanted to take. The expedition very quickly became an all-out struggle - particularly after an accident on the second day (a broken collar bone, self-extraction back to the capital and a plane to Europe). With full use of everyone's mechanical and navigational talents to get us through - this one was going to be teamwork or failure! The route tested everyone, and everything, to the limits - but the end point was achieved. The last night in Nouakchott before leaving was a mixture of euphoria, relief and exhaustion! There are only a limited number of people who have successfully broken through the sort of route we made on this trip - and even the Mauritanian off-road motorbike association still define it today as 'not feasible'!
