Overview --> Ama Dablam 2001, Nepal Ama Dablam 2001, Nepal Prepare2go provided the logistics consultancy and backup to this expedition, an autumn attempt on the mountain. With support team of 20+ porters/cooks, and a trail of yaks, the 6 climbers aimed their sites at this beautiful mountain. Unfortunately, a combination of ill mountain guide, and delays taking us out of the permit window, meant that the expedition did not make the summit. Nearly all, though, achieved new personal altitude bests, and some very strong friendships were born from the trip. Not every expedition will succeed its aim. The most important part is that 'best effort' is made, and that everyone come home afterwards. Everything else is a bonus!
